Halle Racich signs with Lake-sumter 

Halle Racich, a 5'8" Setter from Space Coast High School, recently signed a NJCAA Letter of Intent with Lake-Sumter Community College.

 Lake-Sumter Welcomes Emily Corzine of Deland HS

Emily Corzine, a 6'2" Middle Blocker from Deland High School, has signed a NJCAA letter of intent to play for the Lake-Sumter Community College Lady Lakers.

Lake-Sumter is proud to welcome Megan Ford, a setter from Lake Nona High School, to their program for the 2011-2012 season. Megan was the starting setter for Lake Nona during 2010, and is currently playing for The Orlando Volleyball Academy located in Orlando. Megan is an experienced player with a strong work ethic, she excels in the classroom, and has a very competitive spirit.





Alyssa Kellar signs with Lake-Sumter! 

 A 6'0'' outside hitter from Lacie Washington has decided to travel across country and come play for the Lakers.  She played club for Olympia Volleyball Club.  Coach Bruce is looking for Alyssa to make a huge impact on offense for the 2011 season. 





Boone'S Jesse collins signs with lake-sumter volleyball

Jesse Collins, who just completed her senior year as the libero at Boone High School, signed on Monday with the Lake-Sumter Community College women’s volleyball program.  Collins has started at the libero position for all four years at Boone and helped lead the Braves to the 6A state championship game.
“I am very excited that I get to keep playing,” Collins said. “I think I am very blessed to play two more years at community college level, playing the sport that I love. I am really excited about going to Lake-Sumter and playing for [coach] Rachel Bruce. She is going to be a good, emotional leader for me.”
Boone was 23-10 this past year and ranked No. 4 in the Sentinel’s Super Six. The Braves lost to Tampa Plant in the state championship match.



Brittany Mullee of Lake Brantley signs with LSCC Volleyball 

Brittany Mullee, a 6-foot-3 middle blocker from Lake Brantley, signed Tuesday with Lake-Sumter Community College’s volleyball program.
Mullee will bring height to the Lakers and impressed LSCC coach Rachel Bruce with her blocking skills and the passion she has for the sport. She will be taking the place of sophomore middle blocker Victoria Parks, who is from Eustis, and led LSCC with 135 kills and 59 blocks this season.  Mullee led Lake Brantley with 74 kills and 56 blocks this season.  “She will be a great asset to the Lady Lakers,” Bruce said.
