How to Find Articles

Articles from popular magazines, peer-reviewed journals, and newspapers are accessed either through subscription databases or by using print holdings at the LSCC libraries. There are several ways of finding articles, depending on the amount of information you have.

  • General (Multidisciplinary) databases are a good starting point for most searches
  • Log in by using your X-ID as the Borrower ID and your six-digit birth date (MMDDYY) as the PIN
  • Use subject databases for more specific topics:

  • If you know the title of the periodical you want, use the Journal Finder.  It will tell you if we have access to full text content.
