Requesting an In-Class Career Development Services Presentation
Career Development Services has developed a variety of career-related presentations and resources available to assist LSCC students in their career development. We invite faculty and staff to consider having CDS present to your class, organization or department on a variety of career and transfer topics. Please use our Presentation Request Form to submit your presentation request(s).

*A 2-week lead time is requested on all stardard presentation requests, and 3-week lead time is requested for custom presentation requests. Presentations are scheduled on a first come first served basis. We will make every effort to accommodate your request based on our staff availablity. 


Employer Referrals
Do you have an employer contact you would like us to follow-up with? Please complete our Employer Referral Form to have a Career Development Services staff member follow up with an employer.

If you are made aware of a current job or co-op/internship opening, please invite your employer contact to submit their current job opening for our weekly job listings. Submissions can be entered into our Job Posting Request Form.

Career-Related Class Assignments
Below you will find a variety of sample assignment topics that can be used for career research papers, extra credit and special projects. If you would like to discuss additional ideas for a class assignment and would like some guidance, please contact Ms. Ommy Peason at pearsono@lscc.edu.

Sample student assignments include: 

  • Take a Career Assessment (see our "Career/Major Explorers for links and instructions)
  • Meet with a Career Advisor for a Career Advising session (by appointment)
  • Have your Resume Critiqued by a Career Advisor (by appointment)
  • Conduct Career Exploration/Research on a Specific Major
  • Conduct an Informational Interview for a Specific Career
  • Conduct a Mock Interview with Career Development Services (by appointment)
  • Conduct an Internship or Employment Search
  • Resarch Employment Trends in a particular Industry
